Aryan can't stand Aishwarya

With guys all over the nation, if not all over the world, going lattu over her, we were shocked to find a guy who can't stand Aishwarya Rai. Whenever she greets him on the sets, he just shuts his eyes as if she does not exist. If she gets close to him, he screams his lungs out asking people to take her away. And he certainly has Salman Khan beaming with a smile. Wonder who this guy is? He is none other that Shahrukh Khan's cutie pie Aryan. He is so shy of Aishwarya Rai that he keeps away from her even when she playfully calls and entertains him. So here is finally a guy who is not impressed with the Rai babe, Salman are you listening?

Shahrukh goes mad for Priyadarshan

It seems that Shahrukh Khan couldn't stay away from those on-screen lunatic roles. Remember Darr and Anjaam? Well, it has been a long time since then. Well, our hyperactive Khan, whose forthcoming releases this year will be Ashoka and the much-awaited Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, is reportedly set to go mad, onscreen, that is for Priyadarshan's next untitled film to be produced by Venus. According to trade reports, it is another lunatic love story, which will also star Aishwariya Rai. The film has apparently been scripted by Priyadarshan himself.

Meanwhile, the director himself is busy wrapping up the post-production work on the Sunil Shetty-Mahima starrer Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar which is set for a release on September 18.

Shahrukh seeks a pillar of strength in Hrithik Roshan!

After Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan have formed a mutual admiration society. Shahrukh is forever doling out free advice to his 'favourite male co-star", while Hrithik adores the former and literally hovers around him to seek help on matters of the heart and his career.

Subhash Ghai, who sure knows which side his bread is buttered, has cast them together in his next production. The plot of the film, due for release in October 2003, is a closely-guarded secret, but tatlers suggest it would be yet another emotional drama involving two friends or brothers. Needless to add, the film's primary target will be the NRI market.

The two stars are excited at the prospect of working together again. Especially elated is Shahrukh. He desperately needs the support of the young megastar. Shahrukh is reportedly in dire straits financially. The Mumbai municipal authorities have levied an enormous tax on his Rs 12-crore mansion, while his home production Asoka the Great is stuck due to paucity of funds.

Let's hope the camaraderie is for real, and not just fair weather dosti that turns sour once its purpose is served.

Zee Plans Films With Aamir, SRK

Aee's flagship TV entertainment channel may still be struggling to recover its lost numero uno status, but the company has made a flying start as a producer of big-budget Hindi films. Gadar Ek Prem Katha is such a massive hit, everyone's wondering what the channel will come up with next. Whatever the second project, can it ever hope to match Gadar's success?

The industry has been buzzing with the news that Zee's next project is a film titled Waaris, which will star Aamir Khan and be directed by John Matthew Mathan. John, you may remember, is the talented director who made Sarfarosh with Aamir a great film which also turned out to be a big commercial success. But John says nothing has been finalised yet.

And this is what Nittin Keni, the producer of Gadar for Zee, has to say: "We're developing a couple of scripts. The tentative title of one script is Waaris and it's contemporary high drama, about a father-son relationship. We're looking at Aamir for one film, and Shahrukh Khan for another. But," he hastens to add, "neither star has given us the green signal yet."

Obviously, plenty of hectic, behind-the-scenes negotiations and meetings are going on. And till everything is signed and sealed, no one will confirm anything.
